Current positions in the lab include:

Postdoc, Avian Neurobiology and Toxicology
A 2-year postdoctoral position is available in the Sewall lab to examine the effect of lead exposure on neural recruitment, song learning, and other aspects of cognition and social behavior. Experience with toxicology or neurobiology is a plus. The aim of the study is to understand how lead exposure impacts the neural circuitry of the song control system, to resolve how this environmental toxin impacts complex learning and cognition. The postdoc will be involved in all aspects of the project and thus will receive broad training in behavior, cognition, neurobiology, and toxicology. This project is a collaboration with Dr. Chris Thompson in the VT School of Neuroscience and Dr. Madeline Schreiber in VT Geosciences.
